Need a music licence? We'll set it up and look after it.
The details you give PPL PRS on day one, mainly your audible floor area and how music is used, set your price for years. We tell you exactly what to declare and what it should cost, then handle the application, so you start on the right tariff. Your first year of Licence Watch is included.

Who it's for
What you get
- ✓A short call or email exchange about your premises and how you'll use music.
- ✓Which tariffs apply, and exactly what to declare: audible area, music use, devices, opening weeks.
- ✓The expected annual cost in writing, worked from the published tariffs, before PPL PRS quotes you.
- ✓We make the PPL PRS application for you and check the quote against our figure.
- ✓Your first year of Licence Watch is included: we handle any PPL PRS letter, query or change and check next year's renewal before you pay it.
Already have a licence or a bill?
If you already pay PPL PRS, start with the free Invoice Check (1 to 3 sites) or the free estate review (4+ sites) is the right fit. Got a letter from PPL PRS? Send it for a free first read.
The licence fee itself is paid to PPL PRS and is separate from our fees. After the first year, Licence Watch renews at £99 or £249 a year until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal. Opening more than one venue? Ask us first. We're not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to our fees. MLC is an independent consultancy, not affiliated with PPL PRS Ltd, PRS for Music or PPL. Full terms are on the terms page.
