How the success fee works

For groups, we charge 20% of two things: any refund or credit PPL PRS gives you for past charges, and the lower bill you actually pay, for the first 24 months. We bill each part as it happens, not upfront. After that, the whole saving is yours.

Before we start, we agree the baseline with you in writing: the sites, the tariff year and what counts as a saving. Closing a site, cutting back on music or a tariff change doesn't count. Past years aren't automatically refundable, so most of the value is usually in the lower bill going forward.

How we keep it fair

The check is freeYou shouldn't have to pay to find out your bill is right. If it is, we'll tell you so in writing and you owe nothing.
Priced by how you use musicA café with a radio and a hotel with weddings take very different work, so Licence Watch is £99 or £249 a year. Single sites keep 100% of any refund or saving.
Success fees only as money arrivesFor groups: 20% of refunds and of realised savings for 24 months, billed as they happen. Then every penny is yours. We never charge in perpetuity.
Nothing hiddenEvery price is on this page. Licence Watch renews yearly: cancel before your renewal date and it won't renew. Any other work is agreed in writing before it starts.

We're not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to our fees. If that changes, VAT will be added or absorbed as notified at the time. Your PPL PRS licence fee is separate and paid to PPL PRS. Licence Watch and the Opening Package renew yearly at the Licence Watch price until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal. Success fees are charged only on refunds and savings actually obtained, against a baseline agreed in writing, and end 24 months after the correction. Any other work is agreed in writing before it starts. Full terms are on our terms page. MLC is independent, not affiliated with PPL PRS Ltd, PRS for Music or PPL.
